THE ARTIST |
|
I was born and still live in Manchester,
NH. As a child,
I always loved animals, and I always enjoyed drawing and painting.
Back then, I never really took art, or my love of animals seriously enough to think it could ever progress
any further than just pure enjoyment for me. I married,
raised five children and saw them all graduate from college, and marry. I pursued a career in business, and became a grandmother. While I was working in the business world, I went to Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester, NH in the evenings. I graduated with
two Associate of Science business degrees, and a Bachelor of Science
degree in Human Resources Management.
At about this same time in my
life, I also went evenings to the New
Hampshire Institute of Art in
Manchester, NH. It was there that I
was finally able to fulfill my lifelong
dream of graduating with a Bachelor of Fine
Arts degree in Painting, and a minor in
Sculpture. Currently,
I am an active member and past board member of the Manchester Artists Association, and the Nashua Artists Association.
I also taught art
for many years at
Granite State College in Manchester, NH and Concord, NH,
Hesser College in Manchester, NH and Nashua, NH and the
Currier Museum of Art Center in Manchester, NH. I do commissioned sales, and exhibit and sell my
art throughout New England in art galleries, and at art shows.
