First
thing you
will notice from my paintings is that my favorite mediums to paint with are: Artist soft Pastels and Acrylic
paints. I just love the colors and the ease they provide when I
paint.
Secondly, you will also see that even though I can paint different subjects,
my favorite is painting people and animals!
When I was an art major
student at the New Hampshire Institute of Art in Manchester,
NH, I explored all the fine arts. It was at the NH Art Institute that I first discovered I loved to paint portraits of people
and animals.
Even
to this day, you can see this great passion of mine, expressed in my art!
Creating art is exciting
and so much fun for me
to do!
When I'm not
painting the many commissioned portraits of people or a family pet for someone — I enjoy painting
any
happy theme!
I usually like to capture and
paint my subjects in a candid moment, or from a different vantage or viewpoint. I feel this makes my art more unique,
more exciting and sometimes, more "whimsical."
When I am
painting an animal, it brings me to a totally happy place! For me, these beautiful animals seem to come "alive"
on my canvas, and I want to share that same wonderful experience with everyone, through my paintings!
Even
when I'm painting a Carousel Animal, I see them as the proud animals they represent. Full of movement and energy,
and "life," on my canvas!
But, I am sure you will see all of this for yourself...I hope you enjoy my work!
